Questions To Ask When Hiring For Your Event

Photo booths are an excellent alternative to hiring an expensive photographer and no matter what kind of event you have in mind, you’re guests are certainly going to love taking turns drawing the curtain, and taking a few goofy and cheeky photos they can share with their loved ones.

At weddings, birthday parties and anniversaries, for instance, Picture Blast booths are a practical and fun way to capture group pics without actually bringing the party to a grinding halt, just to announce that everyone must huddle close together to take their photos taken.

Our booths are also a great way to connect with potential audience members at trade shows and make them feel one with the brand.

Here are some questions you should ask when hiring a booth for your party or corporate event:

What kind of layout does it have?

Depending on the kind of event you are hosting, you should consider the type of layout you’re looking for with the prints. For instance, you may need single large 4×6 design photos, picture strips with multiple photos or a 4×6 with 3 photos that includes your logo design. Or perhaps you want photos where you want to add personal touches such as specific colours that match your wedding theme.

In any case, it’s a good idea to discuss with your photo booth hire service so as to what you can and cannot do with the photos, and that’s a good starting point.

Are props included?

More importantly, are they appropriate for your party or event? In what ways can they be displayed? How will they be arranged next to the photo booth?

All very relevant questions that you should ask your photo booth hire company – and while you’re at it, also inquire if themed props are available like giant moustaches or perhaps sports-related ones. Some photo booth hires include the props as part of the package, while others include it at an extra expense.

Does my booth come with an attendant?

It’s important to have a trained attendant who’s on-hand to assist guests in any way as they get their photos taken, keep everything in order including any props, and deal with technical issues should they arise.

But most notably, the photo booth attendant should see to it that everyone’s having a good time, so this too is an important question to ask.

How large is the booth?

How many people do you think would want to get their photos taken together at a time? Do you have enough space to have a cubicle-style photo booth with a hard shell?

Booths sporting a removable drape, for instance, can actually accommodate a large amount of people – a group shot with all the bridesmaids or your extended family should be no problem at all. Discuss the specifics, always!
