IKEA In-store green screen photography with instant printing

As opposed to a branded photo booth with branded prints the aim of this campaign was to recreate the front cover of the latest IKEA catalogue with IKEA’s customers appearing in the image as “The Catogue Cover Star” then attach the print to the catalogue and distribute the personlised catalogue to increase brand loyalty across all 20 IKEA stores on the same weekend.

We were also asked to enable the software to allow the customers to upload these images to their personal facebook or twitter account with #’s for additional brand exposure.

We were tasked with providing a portable green screen photography set up at 20 IKEA sites simultaneously around the UK and Ireland on
IKEA’s catalogue launch weekend with two members of staff at each store.

We reconfigured our software to accommodate the requirements of IKEA in terms of ensuring the prints matched the front catalogue cover seamlessly  and the social media options were available once the photo had been taken.

Our staff encouraged IKEA customers to have their photos taken and appearing on their very own copy of the IKEA catalogue.

Each IKEA store green screen photograpy set up was required to instantly print, attach the print to the catalogue and distribute personalised copies with the option of social media uploading from our terminal.

The campaign was a complete success. We engaged with over 6000 IKEA customers in 20 stores around the UK and Ireland ensuring each customer and their families left with a personlised copy of the stores catalogue.

The feedback we received from customers was very positive and they were extremely willing to engage with the fun activity with the campaign adding strength to brand loyalty along with the distribution of thousands of catalogues.
